WE HAD CLIMBED THE LADDER ONLY TO FIND IT WAS LEANING AGAINST THE WRONG WALL!
Finally, in 2008, determined to find a better way to live and work, we quit our jobs and left behind our friends, families, and homes. We were ready to get out of our comfort zones. We traveled the world in search of meaning, purpose, and solutions to the problems that plague our society back home. Somewhere along this journey, it hit us! In order to transform the world, we first needed to transform ourselves. We needed to become fit for our purpose. We became obsessed with personal and professional development, and with shaping ourselves into the humans we needed to become in order to fulfill our mission here on Earth. We changed our mindsets, our lifestyles, and our attitudes toward everything – big and small. We let go of the outdated beliefs that were keeping us small and we reclaimed the personal powers we had given up so long ago. We started to become the people we knew deep down inside we were meant to be.
After 18 straight months of travel, we came back to London to take an inventory of what we’d learned and to start making plans for a new life. Soon after that – and this is where the story gets interesting – we met each other for the first time. Yes, you read right. Although our experiences were the same, although we had left London at the same time, for the same reason, our journies actually unfolded independently, and we only discovered the incredible symmetry after the fact…..Naturally, we had quite a few things to talk about!
We both saw courage and authenticity in one another and although our values were (and are) the same, we observed complimentary skills and abilities. Susana has always been a deeply sensitive person with profound intuitive capabilities. She overcame many incredible difficulties as a child, which gave her a wonderful sense of empathy and a special ability to understand the hidden feelings, emotions, and thoughts of others. Luke, on the other hand, has a sharp eye for strategy and his experience in business consulting helps him to point out the weak link in any chain and tell you precisely how to fix it. Together, we knew that we could help a lot of people who – as we did – dream of living a purpose-driven life. After spending 20 years working in corporate leadership roles, we knew it was time to use our expertise in pursuit of a greater cause.
In 2013, we left London for the second time, but this time together. We packed everything up and moved to Thailand, knowing that it would be the perfect place to welcome truth-seekers like ourselves, from all around the globe. In 2018 we officially registered Coaching Self Empowerment as a company in our new home. We created Coaching Self Empowerment to serve people who aren’t satisfied with the hum-drum corporate lifestyle. People who crave change, meaning, and fulfillment in their lives. Today, our services and courses focus on self-discovery, personal development, and self-actualization.

About our logo
Our lotus logo was designed using Sacred Geometry, which can be found in all corners of the world – both literally and metaphorically. It’s in mathematics, music, architecture, sound, and structure – and in every continent and body of water. If you didn’t already guess, The Coaching Self Empowerment logo is an interpretation of the lotus flower, which symbolizes the journey to enlightenment in Buddhist philosophy. These beautiful flowers start in the muddy bottoms of dark ponds and work their ways up to the surface and into the light, where they bring joy to all that see them. Naturally, the meaning of the lotus resonated with us, with our journey in Thailand, and with our mission to help people come out of their shadows and live their best lives.
The six pollen anthers in the very middle of our lotus symbolize the balance between the masculine and feminine in nature and the importance of these two complementary forces in society. The twelve petals on the outside symbolize completion and governance of the cosmos through natural laws, in accordance with gnostic hidden knowledge. They also pay tribute to the twelve strands of human DNA, the twelve body chakras, twelve constellations of the zodiac, the twelve months, the twelve hours, the twelve musical notes, – and a few other things we didn’t even think of!
Though lotus flowers are most often seen as white, pink, or yellow in nature, we wanted to represent our lotus in the color teal, as it represents truth, spiritual maturity, grounding, wisdom, intuition, wholeness, innovation, creativity, emotional balance, serenity, love, joy, tranquility, patience, and loyalty.
